Jeffrey Jewelry welcomes third generation

TIFFIN — Jeffrey Jewelry is ringing in a third generation of leadership, building on a legacy of exceptional service and expertise. Ty Cooper, president of Jeffrey Jewelry, said his father, Chuck Cooper, purchased the shop in 1978 and moved it to its current location in Wolf Creek Plaza in 1997. Cooper said he had the honor of working alongside his dad for many years, learning what he calls the foundation of business: customer service, product knowledge and philanthropy. Chuck Cooper died in 2014. Ten years later, his grandsons, Trenton and Brody Cooper, stepped into Jeffrey Jewelry to work under the mentorship of their father. "We're blessed," Cooper said. Trenton, a 2019 graduate of Calvert High School, earned a business degree from Heidelberg University and worked for Tiffin-based UIS Insurance before returning to the family business. "It was a good experience," Trenton said, but "I felt a calling to enter the family business." Trenton said he enjoys that every day at work presents a new challenge, noting that the faster-paced environment of a retail establishment is more his speed. He continues to develop as a salesman, finding his groove and discovering what best suits him when serving customers. Trenton added that he finds satisfaction in carrying on the store in the Cooper name and is fortunate to work with his father. Brody, a 2024 Calvert graduate, considered options such as becoming a firefighter or teacher, but ultimately decided that joining the Jeffrey Jewelry team was "the best path." "I learn every day," Brody said, adding that he strives to "fit every customer's needs." In August 2024, both Trenton and Brody began working full-time at Jeffrey Jewelry, dedicated to continuing the store in the family name. Cooper said retirement isn't even on the horizon for him, but knowing that the new generation will continue Jeffrey's mission allows him to look more broadly at services and inventory. Long-term planning now looks different, he said, "thanks to the boys." With the team in place, Cooper announced the launch of the 2025 holiday season at the store. Shoppers will find 25 consecutive days of specials, including a 25% storewide savings event the week of Nov. 24. December will be filled with "elevated energy and exception value," according to a press release. "This year's '25 Days of Christmas' is our way of saying thank you for trusting us with life's most meaningful moments," Cooper said.
