Traunero brings comfort, hope

TIFFIN — The annual Traunero Funeral Home All-Faith Holiday Memorial Program will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. This is the 29th year for the event, which seeks to provide comfort and togetherness for families who have lost ones. Rich Traunero, president, said the service "is a means of letting people know we are thinking of them." Those who gather for the program, he said, can look around the room and know that while each story is different, they are not alone. Traunero said a message of hope will be offered by Pastor Stephanie Little of Little Faith Ministries, and strategies for coping with grief during the holidays will be presented. As in previous years, personalized ornaments will be provided to registered guests to decorate a Tree of Remembrance, and a special candlelight ceremony will honor the memory of all those from the community who have died. Refreshments will follow the program, he said. The memorial program is free and open to the public, and reservations are requested by calling 419-447-3113. Traunero said the program is a "very satisfying thing" to offer to the community, and something "we want to continue to do." Traunero Funeral Home & Crematory is located at 214 S.
