Pudge the Cat gets his own bobblehead

BOWLING GREEN — The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum announced Thursday the release of an officially licensed bobblehead of Bowling Green icon Pudge the Cat. The figure features the 4-year-old exotic shorthair Persian in a Bowling Green jersey, sat on a football field-style base with his name on the front. Pudge belongs to Falcons long snapper George Carlson, who said the cat's school-colored look wasn't intentional. "Orange eyes, orange fur, he's the theme," said Carlson. "Kind of funny how that worked out." The cat first went viral prior to the start of the season following a TikTok video staged inside the Sebo Athletic Center locker room. Following BG's victory over Lafayette, Pudge appeared on ESPN and has since continued to pick up followers on social media, including via his own Instagram page, @UnclePudgy. The figures are to be released as part of a limited edition run, with 2,025 made. Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, said the release reflects the excitement that has followed Pudge all season. "We're excited to unveil the first bobblehead of Pudge the Cat — the unofficial mascot of the 2025 Bowling Green Falcons football team," Sklar said. "We know how much Bowling Green and college football fans have loved Pudge this season, and this bobblehead will give fans the chance to have their own mini Pudge."
