24 locals earn all-Ohio honors in Divisions VI-VII

As the football season wrapped up over the weekend in Canton, the all-Ohio football teams in Divisions VI and VII were released Monday afternoon. In total, 24 locals were honored as 15 of them were in D-VI. Starting with the first-team offense, it included Hopewell-Loudon junior lineman Joe Ewald and Seneca East senior lineman Mason Holmer. On first-team defense were H-L senior linebacker Mason Reinhart and SE junior LB Jackson Gayheart. H-L senior wideout Jack Colatruglio was a second-team choice on offense, while the second-team defense included three local lineman – SE senior Hunter Rathburn, Carey senior Carter Bame and H-L senior Aiden Ewald. Ewald on second team must've been an oversight or an error as he was the lineman of the year in the northwest District.Others on the second-team defense included Carey junior defensive back Tripp Phoenix and senior LB Dash Puckett.H-L junior quarterback Jacoby Ellis and SE senior QB Nicholas Parks were both third-team offense, while H-L senior defensive lineman Scott Turco was a third-team defense selection.Carey senior Garrett Boes was honorable mention on the offensive line.First teamers in Division VII consisted of three Mohawk Warriors – junior quarterback Andon Clouse, junior running back Kaden Bish and senior offensive lineman Eli Chevalier. Mohawk sophomore receiver Levi Tiell was a second-team offense selection, while second teamers on defense included Calvert senior DB Logan DeMoss and Mohawk senior LB Owen Patrizi. Mohawk senior DB Brant Kirian was a third-team defensive pick, while Buckeye Central senior QB Jack Phillips and Calvert sophomore D-lineman Ethan Baugher were both honorable mention.
