Tiffin University gives back

Tiffin University Student Organizations Team Up to Support Local Food Bank. Tiffin University students joined forces to make a difference in the community during a week-long campus food drive organized by the Business Club. Partnering with CRU, the Accounting & Finance Club, the Violent Crimes Analysis Fellowship, Phi Theta Phi fraternity and other student organizations, the drive collected more than 600 nonperishable food items. Throughout the week, student organizations worked together to promote the initiative, setting up collection boxes across campus and raising awareness about food insecurity in the region. All items collected were donated to The Salvation Army of Tiffin to support families and individuals in need during the holiday season. The drive encouraged students, faculty and staff to contribute nonperishable goods, including canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice, soups and other shelf-stable staples. "Tiffin University is incredibly proud of our students for stepping up to support our local community," said Dr. Lillian Schumacher, President of Tiffin University. "Their generosity and teamwork during this food drive demonstrate the values of service, compassion and leadership that are at the heart of our campus. Collecting over 600 items shows the real impact our students can make when they come together for a common cause."
