GIRLS VARSITY BOWLING: Hopewell-Loudon beat Rossford 1,566-1,469 Friday at Interstate Lanes. The Chieftains led 1,169-1,145 after the first round before registering baker game wins of 172-112 and 122-99. Rossford took a baker game 117-103. Hollie Bozo keyed the Chieftains with a 290 series (143, 147), Kenedy Clark tallied a 270 (143, 127), Arianna England had a 225 (118, 107), Chasity Keckler chipped in a 214 (115, 99) and Emma Foster ended with a 170 (107, 63). BOYS VARSITY BOWLING: Rossford ended the opening round with a 1,626-1,581 lead and pulled away in the baker games Friday to beat Hopewell-Loudon 2,270-2,094 at Interstate Lanes. Calvin Scherf led everyone with a 419 series (246, 173) for H-L. Layne Flemmings backed him with a 362 series (196, 166), Tyler Foos rolled a 323 (158, 165), Cameron Fredrick had a 279 (114, 165) and Colton Stevenson finished with a 198 (57, 141). Rossford sandwiched baker game wins of 264-174 and 210-158 around H-L's 181-170 victory. GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Buckeye Central 45-11.Hopewell-Loudon beat Columbian 29-17Seneca East beat Mohawk 31-14. Avery Schwab scored seven points for the Tigers and Lilly Burkholder tossed in six. BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Mohawk beat Gibsonburg 41-34.Calvert upended Clyde 51-42. Drew Meyer dropped in 11 points for the Senecas, while Hunter Thomas had 11 for the Fliers. BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Mohawk's eighth grade topped Hopewell-Loudon 51-33 as Chance Collene had 22 points and Grady Wilkins ended with nine points and 18 rebounds for the Warriors (10-0).
