Old Fort's 1-2 punch KOs ChieftainsBASCOM — Adelyn Dick and Lucy King combined to outscore Hopewell-Loudon in Old Fort's 43-30 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division win Saturday.Dick popped in a game-high 22 points and King netted 14.Still, it took a bit for the victory to occur. The Stockaders led just 16-14 at halftime, but outscored H-L 27-16 in the second half to pull away.Dick added seven rebounds for Old Fort, King provided four steals and three assists and Carly Fortney dished three assists.Karsyn Snyder's 14 points and six rebounds paced the Chieftains (4-9, 3-2 SBC).Madison Holcomb scored six points and Mylie Alt handed out three assists. SE drops WarriorsSYCAMORE — Foul trouble forced Seneca East's Lexi Snay to sit most of the first half. She made up for that later.Snay tallied all 14 of her points and seven rebounds in the final two quarters Saturday to spirit the Tigers to a 43-27 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win against Mohawk.All that came after Snay drew two quick whistles early in the opening period and went to the bench.Her team responded well early, forging ahead 14-8 in the first quarter en route to a 20-14 halftime lead.Izzy Stockmaster led Seneca East over that stretch, scoring six of her 12 game points in the first half.The Tigers (10-4, 5-3 N10) responded to Snay's return with a 15-6 scoring burst in the third quarter to gain some breathing room.Madi Smith backed Snay and Stockmaster with seven points.Katie Woodland led the Warriors (5-8, 3-5) with seven points and 10 rebounds.Summer Haubert added seven points for Mohawk, Mara Haynes grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked five shots, Mara Lease tallied six boards and three blocks and Roxanne Tiell ended with six rebounds.
