Tigers claim 1st sectional title in school history

PORT CLINTON – It was a historic day for the Seneca East boys bowling program Monday in a Division II sectional at Star Lanes at the Harbor. Behind a sectional title from Logan Drown, the Tigers secured their first sectional title in school history, topping Edison 3,577-3,528. The top four teams qualified for the district tournament next week at Interstate Lanes in Rossford as SE, Edison, Perkins and Rossford all advanced. Clyde came in seventh with a 2,920.SE put three bowlers in the top 10 as Drown led everyone with a 640 series (212-227-201), while Parker Edwards was fifth with a 559 (177-199-183), Wyatt Brickner added a 10th with a 518 (127-182-209), Colin Lucius followed with a 456 (162-148-146) and Blair Beagle ended with a 447 (188-146-113).Clyde was led by Alex Hoffman's 472 (149-156-167), followed by Dawson Mominee with a 425 (129-174-122), Jordan Blody with a 421 (140-129-152) and Allyssa Metz with a 334 (99-118-117). Tornadoes sweep Raiders on Senior NightFREMONT – It was a joyous Senior Night for Columbian bowling as both the girls and boys swept Lakota at Plaza Lanes.The girls team won 1,456-1,339, while the TC boys won 1,921-1,655.Lucy Weidner paced the girls team with a 277 series (136-141), followed by Kaitlyn Distel with a 267 (110-157), Miriah Distel with a 237 (116-121), Angela Nominee with a 213 (107-106) and Briana Pryor with a 207 (100-107).TC won the two baker games 259-255.Hayden Wagner's 409 series (226-175) led the TC boys. They also got a 346 (200-146) from Austin King, a 326 (172-154) by Atreyu Sturgill, a 203 (94-109) from Marshall McBride and a 182 (84-98) by Leo Langley.TC won the three baker games 463-414. Lakota stats were not submitted. Rams complete a perfect regular seasonUPPER SANDUSKY - The perfect ending to a perfect regular season.The pins certainly fell in favor of the Upper Sandusky girls bowling team all season long and it was no exception on Monday as USHS defeated Liberty-Benton in the last regular season match 2,169-1,959 at Wyandot Lanes.USHS now has a perfect 14-0 record in their second season as a team.Leading the Rams to victory was Brynn Routzahn with a 369 series (184-185), followed by Olivia Griswold with a 360 (159-201), Michaelynn Hill with a 354 (169-185) and Lily Swartz with a 309 (138-171). Bowling one game each were Aleah McCann with a 144 and Melanie Bowen with a 123.In the three baker games, USHS won 509 (171-181-157) over the Eagles' score of 390 (125-150-115).
