Radiology department receives Fostoria hospital award

The radiology department is the latest winner of the Bouquet Award at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.ProMedica established the Bouquet Award in 2023 "as a way to recognize outstanding teams that work together, directly or indirectly, to provide excellent service to our patient population," information from ProMedica says.The radiology department was nominated for its "outstanding collaboration, compassion and dedication to patient-centered care," according to a ProMedica news release."The staff, as well as its director, is always helpful with our patients," a nurse in the hospital's emergency department wrote while nominating the radiology department, according to the news release. "They address patients' needs before and after their X-rays, CTs and MRIs, and they follow through to help them — providing blankets, ice water, assistance to the bathroom and more. They make sure patients are reconnected to their monitors and equipment when they return to the emergency department."They also step in when the ED is very busy, assisting with answering phones and responding to call lights. They are a great department that truly deserves this award."
