GIRLS SECTIONAL BOWLING: Hopewell-Loudon's Hollie Bozo and Lakota's Kaitlynne Repasz each earned district berths Thursday at the Division II sectional tournament at Bowlero Lanes. The top four teams and top four players not on those teams qualified for the Feb. 17 district tournament at Interstate Lanes in Rossford. Bozo advanced with a three-game series of 435 (113, 190, 132) and Repasz qualified with a 407 (124, 132, 151). Hopewell-Loudon finished sixth as a team with a pin total of 2,571, and Lakota (2,387), Fostoria (2,336), Old Fort (2,208) and New Riegel (2,008) ended eighth through 12th. Along with Bozo's score, H-L received a 395 series from Arianna England (154, 121, 120), a 376 from Chasity Keckler (166, 88, 122), a 331 from Kenedy Clark (134, 86, 111) and a 280 from Emma Foster (69, 129, 82). The Chieftains also had baker game scores of 140, 151, 116, 133, 86 and 128. Keely Albert backed Repasz with a 372 series (133, 114, 125) for Lakota, Karmen Albert rolled a 346 (115, 115, 116) and Aryah Yates had a 314 (105, 83, 126). The Raiders also got single-game scores of 106 from Abigail Bender and 98 from Haylee Miller, along with a substitute game score of 86. Lakota added baker game scores of 106, 139, 113, 93, 115 and 92. Cora Sheeks topped Fostoria with a 372 series (116, 138, 118), Morrigan Flinders tallied a 357 (111, 104, 142), Briar Shaver chipped in a 345 (89, 135, 121) and Dailene Madison had a 302 (92, 96, 114). Jessica Reid added a two-game score of 220 (122, 98) and Cheyne Cunningham had a 62 game. Baker games for the Redmen totaled 79, 140, 115, 116, 111 and 117. Brielle Davis sparked Old Fort with a 387 series (165, 104, 118), Faye Walton registered a 308 (96, 98, 122), Alivia Owens had a 301 (104, 89, 108), Leela Rowe turned in a 295 (87, 96, 112) and Caleigh Moore ended with a 276 (71, 113, 92). The Stockaders had baker game scores of 122, 86, 133, 93, 118 and 89. Lily Hutchinson led New Riegel with a 305 series (105, 114, 86), Evie Schubach rolled a 291 (112, 104, 75), Kendall Whipple (100, 112, 64) and Carah Olmstead (98, 100, 78) each added a 276, and Kaylee Logan ended with a 268 (81, 94, 93). Baker games for the Blue Jackets totaled 92, 116, 76, 94, 84 and 130. GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon beat New Riegel 20-5 in a two-quarter game. BOWLING: Standings in the K of C Senior League: Paulus Eye Care 21, Tiffin Deluxe 16, Bair Bros. 12, Baumann Auto Group 7. The honor roll included Scott Kromer 591 and John Arend 567. GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Calvert defeated Lakota 23-11. Rachel Spaun and Savannah Faber each scored 10 points. BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Seneca East topped Buckeye Central 57-45 as Matt Drown poured in 16 points, while Jarrett (12) and Aiden Bame (11) also scored in double figures for SE. Isiah Kaiser led BC with 19 points.Columbian defeated Norwalk 43-24 as Zach Kerschner tallied 14 points for TC.
