Signups near for Micah Hyde Football Camp

For the past eight years, the Micah Hyde Football Camp, hosted by his Imagine for Youth Foundation, has brought 500 youngsters to Fostoria's Memorial Stadium from northwest Ohio and beyond for a day of performing drills and generally having a good time. Camp No. 9, scheduled for June 6, will bring a change geared toward a greater amount of interaction between Hyde and other coaches and the participating youngsters. This year's event will accept 300 campers. "We plan to decrease the number of campers to be able to give more feedback and coaching points to each," Hyde, a former Fostoria High School standout who went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL, wrote in a text message. "Excited for the opportunity to host another camp in Fostoria." And online registration for the June 6 event is just around the corner. Boys and girls entering grades 3 and 4 in the 2026-27 school year may register beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, and students entering grades 5 and 6 will sign up at the same time on March 14. There is no participation fee. Those registering at www.imaginforyouth.org are urged to act quickly each morning, with spots being expected to fill quickly. While the camp formerly had morning and afternoon sessions of 250 youngsters apiece, this year's will have 150 third- and fourth-graders in one group and 150 fifth- and sixth-graders in another, with both carrying out their activities between 9 and 11 a.m.
