Fostoria man jailed in federal drug case

FOSTORIA — A Fostoria man remained in custody in Toledo Wednesday after having been arrested in connection with a federal drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately 90 pounds of cocaine and hundreds of dollars in cash, according to authorities and broadcast reports.Epolito Rodriguez, 33, who owns Power Up Fostoria, 106 N. Main St., used the business in activity that resulted in his arrest on Feb. 25 and his being charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, said a clerk in Toledo's U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.An employee of the Lucas County Corrections Center confirmed that Rodriguez was incarcerated on Wednesday.The clerk said searches of a semi-tractor trailer, Power Up Fostoria and Rodriguez's home resulted in the seizure of the drugs and more than $700,000.A broadcast report said a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration officer filed an affidavit stating that allegations of Rodriguez's drug activity surfaced in late 2025.The clerk and broadcast reports said electronic surveillance led investigators to Rodriguez's vehicle while it was parked in a Findlay lot, as well as the semi. A traffic stop near Columbus later that day resulted in $665,480 being found in the semi, according to the clerk.A broadcast report said the case has been bound over to a federal grand jury and no plea has been entered.
