Friday the 13th becomes lunch occasion FOSTORIA — At least one group, and possibly more, has begun meeting for lunch at KemoSabes Roadside Grill, 820 Sandusky St., when Friday the 13ths occur.With Friday the 13th again cropping up next week, Fostoria resident Carole Rinehart said others are welcome to join her group, which meets at 11:30 a.m., on each Friday the 13th.Rinehart said the occasions make for a revival of a former custom begun by the late Leah Hipsher when she owned the Black Cat restaurant at the same location.More information is available by calling Rinehart at 419-701-8817. Library cooking club to meet Monday FOSTORIA — Kaubisch Memorial Public Library's new cooking club, titled the 641, is scheduled to meet from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday at the library, 205 Perry St.Irish soda bread will be available to sample and the recipe will be discussed.Those attending need not take a dish, but those who wish to may consider it being St. Patrick's Day-themed.Ideas and suggestions for the club will be welcome.For more information, call the library at 419-435-2813, ext. 123. Revelation sermon series to continue at West Independence WEST INDEPENDENCE — The Rev. Ben Wallick will continue his sermon series on Revelation with a message titled "The Lukewarm Church" during Sunday's 9 a.m. worship service at West Independence Church in Fostoria.West Independence, 22876 U.S. Route 224, is a Global Methodist Church. Its worship services are livestreamed on YouTube.Scripture will be read during worship from Revelation 3:14-22. The choir will sing. Congregational hymns and prayer are also part of the worship experience.Junior Church will be available for children in kindergarten through the fifth grade during worship. A nursery is also available.Coffee fellowship will be available after worship, and Sunday school classes will begin at 10:15 a.m., with a number of topics available for all ages.Youth will meet for Bible study at 7 p.m., Wednesday. The Lenten study is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., March 12.
