Stultz, Miller shine at indoor state track

GENEVA — Calvert's Lukas Stultz won the boys triple jump and Emily Miller ran second in the girls 400 Saturday to top area efforts at the Division IV Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches indoor state track meet at SPIRE Institute.Stultz sailed 43-4 1/2 to capture the triple jump.He also added a sixth in the boys long jump (20-3 1/2) for the Senecas.Miller, competing for Calvert's girls, claimed runner-up honors in the 400 in 57.82 seconds.She added a fourth in the 60 (7.97) and a seventh in the 200 (26.4) to end as the only area girl to place in the meet.A handful of other area boys also placed.Aiden Ewald of Hopewell-Loudon finished fifth in both the shot (50-9) and weight throw (56-9 3/4).Old Fort's Aidan Chapman took sixth in the 400 (51.0) and helped the Stockaders end eighth in the 4x400 (3:42.02).Jake Beisner, Aiden Dick and Isaac Waldsmith rounded out Old Fort's 4x400 team.Seneca East's Levi Dawson claimed sixth in the 60 (7.16). Bellevue trio places in four state eventsGENEVA — Three Bellevue girls ended up placing in four total events Saturday at the Division III Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches indoor state track meet at SPIRE Institute.Amerie Wagner captured third in the high jump (5-2) for the Lady Red.Natalie Littlejohn added a fourth in the long jump (16-2 3/4) and a seventh in the triple jump (32-9 1/4).Lilly Sosa finished sixth in the pole vault (10-6).
