Sheetz coming to Tiffin

TIFFIN — The Seneca County Collaborative has announced that the convenience chain Sheetz is moving forward with plans for a new location in Tiffin. The project will involve the redevelopment of the former Rite Aid property on West Market Street, along with two neighboring lots. According to officials, the timeline for the project is currently set for later this year. Demolition of the current structures on the site is expected to begin this fall, coinciding with the official start of construction. The expansion into Seneca County is part of a broader growth strategy for the Pennsylvania-based company, which has been increasing its presence throughout northwest and central Ohio. The site encompasses the former pharmacy building and two additional adjacent parcels. Once completed, the facility will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The site will provide standard fuel services alongside the company's "made-to-order" food program. Mayor Lee Wilkinson characterized the development as a sign of continued growth within the city.
