Ottawa County fair returns Monday

OAK HARBOR — The Ottawa County Fair returns this Monday ripe with fun events for locals. The Ottawa County Agricultural Society organizes the fair each year. It's one of Ohio's youngest county fairs beginning in 1964.Since then, the fair has brought together all the communities in Ottawa County for a week of celebration"Agriculture is really the heart of our area," fair organizer Brianne Mathews said. "The county fair is a place that brings together all aspects of agriculture."Mathews continued: "It's a great place for families and friends to spend a week away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives."The fair will be full of activities and events for children and adults of all ages to enjoy.Among those events: The 16th annual Ace of Clubs Hog Calling Contest featuring celebrity guest judge and OSU fanatic Big Nut.To enter visit ottawacountyfair.org.
