Curated by Cameron turns venues to visions

From luxury to laid back, Curated by Cameron creates custom decor and specialized spaces for area event planners. Founded in January 2024 by Cameron Latham, Curated by Cameron offers tablescapes and event decor styling for weddings, receptions, parties and other gatherings. Latham said she always had a "niche in decorating," and enjoyed styling spaces and helping friends and family prepare venues for events. In the fall of 2023, Latham said she helped her aunt design a homecoming tablespace, which ultimately became the springboard to Curated by Cameron. Her aunt, Latham said, wanted to pay her for her services, but the payment came with a stipulation: the money had to be used towards starting her own design company. "The community is lacking something you are very gifted in," Latham said her aunt explained. "It kick-started from there," Latham said. Planning began that fall, she said, and Curated by Cameron LLC was formed in January 2024. The initial idea, Latham said, was "to dip my toes in," starting small, gathering inventory, and easing into the business world. "That's not what God had planned," she said. Once Curated by Cameron launched on social media, Latham said she was contacted by the owner of Rose & Co. Mercantile, which was closing its Tiffin storefront and business. "I bought her inventory," she said. In February 2024, Latham said she was contacted by Elizabeth Grace Decor, a company out of Kalida, that also was stepping away from the decor business. The owners, she said, believed Curated by Cameron could carry on their company's vision, and Latham absorbed their contracts, trailer and inventory. Two years after Curated by Cameron began, the company has worked locally and throughout Northwest Ohio to cater to the dreams of brides and grooms and other event planners. Latham said weddings and receptions are the majority of her business, and she seeks to ensure clients are free from the "worry about the time, labor and stress" of designing, implementing and cleaning up venue decor. She said she has accommodated weddings from 100 to 850 guests, and brides and grooms are encouraged to be "as involved as they want to be" with style planning. Some choose to have her handle the entire process, Latham said, while others are intricately involved, even including family and friends. Whatever the wishes of a bride and groom, she said, "we're making it happen." Latham said she watches trends in the industry come and go, but her approach is more dependent on the venue, the wishes of each client, and the season in which an event takes place. Looking ahead, Latham said she is "constantly thinking about my future," and has specific goals for Curated by Cameron. Short term, her best friend, Jazmine Winter, is joining the business, and Latham said she hopes 2026 is an opportunity for Curated by Cameron "to be more and more local," with an expansion of her services into additional venues in the area. Latham said she has promoted the business at bridal shows at Camden Falls, The Barn, and Arlington Acres, and hopes to have a presence at upcoming shows at The Chandelier, Octagon House and The Milkhouse. Within five to ten years, she said, she plans to have a warehouse to store her inventory, and would like to see the company expand enough to require a Curated team. Latham said Curated by Cameron joined the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce in 2026, which has played a role in "getting our name out," and she will continue to promote her design services on social media. Currently, Curated by Cameron is open for events from early spring to November, Latham said. Between owning her own company and working part-time at Threads Boutique, Latham said her days revolve around party planning and the world of fashion. In essence, Latham said, she is "living the perfect girl life."
