Enjoy a summer of fun at Tiffin parks

TIFFIN — Members of the Tiffin Parks and Recreation department are preparing for the summer, with youth camp registration set to open at 9 a.m. April 7. The department will offer a variety of summer camps focused on outdoor recreation, games and hands-on activities. Programs will again include a partnership with Vanguard-Sentinel Career & Technology Centers for culinary-related activities, along with the return of Trades Camp. The city pool is scheduled to open at 1 p.m. May 25. Officials said the facility has undergone seasonal cleaning, maintenance and repairs ahead of opening. Pool passes can be purchased online at tiffinparks.activityreg.com. Thursday Night Tunes will return to the Frost-Kalnow Amphitheater on the East Green beginning June 18, with weekly live music planned throughout the summer. Adult programming will include pickleball and sand volleyball leagues. The city's July 4 celebration is also planned, with activities expected to include a car show, live music, inflatables, food vendors and a fireworks display. Officials said the summer lineup is aimed at providing a mix of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
