Meeting Notice Members of the Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. March 31 for the purpose of discussing personnel matters. Downtown Tiffin's Third Thursday Season Around the Corner The 2026 Third Thursday event season is set to kick off with a new event theme, "Arts, Eats, and Beats" from 5-8 p.m. on April 16 throughout the downtown district. The event will feature live musicians and artists at multiple locations, allowing attendees to view and purchase a variety of artwork while enjoying live entertainment. "This is a great way to kick off the Third Thursday season in Tiffin. 'Arts, Beats, and Eats' brings together everything that makes Tiffin special — local artists, live music, and great food—all in one place. It's an opportunity for residents and visitors to experience the creativity and energy of our community while supporting the small businesses that help Tiffin thrive," said Tiffin Mayor Lee Wilkinson. Auditions set for Fostoria melodrama production Members of the Fostoria Community Arts Council will hold auditions for its melodrama "Ruckus at the Roundhouse" at 7 p.m. on both April 7 and 8 at its office, 125 S. Main St., Fostoria. The one-act comedy will be performed May 15 and 16 at the Fostoria Woman's Club on East Fremont Street. The May 15 performance will be a dinner theater event beginning at 6:30 p.m., and the May 16 performance will begin at 7 p.m. Available roles include Wendy Wainwright, Montague Shuddlebower, Salvatori D. Bottomly, Frankie, Ethel Nimrod, Norbert Nimrod and a card holder role. Rehearsals will be held multiple times per week at the arts council office prior to moving to the performance venue the week of the show. Tiffin University Ohio Innocence Project Movie Night Tiffin University's Ohio Innocence Project Chapter (OIP-u: TU) has reschedueld their movie night featuring "Lovely Jackson" to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2. The event, open to the public, will feature a showing of "Lovely Jackson", a documentary about Rickey Jackson who was falsely convicted of murder at age 18 in 1975. An Ohio Innocence Project investigation earned him a new trial in 2014 where the prosecution dropped all charges; Jackson was cleared and released after spending 39 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. At the time of his release, Jackson had the distinction of having spent the longest time in prison of any exoneree in the United States.
