Kauble sets record in Clyde win

Aric Kauble became the winningest player in Clyde boys tennis history Friday, helping the Flyers drop Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division foe Columbian 4-1.Kauble beat Dravyn Dicken 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 singles to notch career win No. 94, bettering by one the mark set by Jacob Strudthoff in 2019.The Flyers (7-1 overall), also picked up another singles win and swept the doubles contests to move to 6-0 in conference play.Alex Barrett defeated TC's Brady Miller 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.Chase Castle and Oscar Webb downed Liam Randell and Parker Nye 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.Cole Sengstock and Trenton Brown upended Grant Blonde and Jarrett Jaeck 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.The Tornadoes (5-4, 3-3) picked up their victory at No. 2 singles when Brock Siesel held off Connor Eastby 2-6, 6-3, 12-10.
