NEW RIEGEL – The final 1 ½ innings didn't get played, but the game was in hand at that point anyway as Lakota beat New Riegel 11-0 in SBC River play.After three scoreless innings, Lakota tallied four runs, three runs and tacked on four more in the sixth for good measure.Hunter Sweeney led the charge at the plate with a pair of doubles, a single and two RBIs for the Raiders (9-4, 7-1 SBC River), followed by Jacob Hines with a pair of singles and an RBI, Brady Kern with a double and two RBIs, Jack Widman with a double and an RBI and Izrael Smith with a single and an RBI.Brighton Coffin had the two hits for the Blue Jackets.Widman went all five innings on the bump, giving up just two hits with five punchouts and a walk on 62 pitches.Alec Hohman suffered the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits in five innings. Whippets rally to top Tornadoes 9-7SHELBY – Columbian came out swinging and led 6-3 after three innings at Shelby Monday. Then the Whippets plated two runs in the fourth and added four more in the sixth to take the game 9-7.Johnny Bremyer doubled, singled twice and drove in a pair of runs for the Tornadoes (3-8), while Jaxson Little tripled and singled, Conner Reese singled and drove in two runs and Jamison Woessner doubled.Braden Egbert suffered the loss on the hill in his 1 1/3 relief innings. Little started and went the first three innings before Blake Gaulden tossed 1 2/3 innings. Smith-led H-L run-rules OFOLD FORT – Austin Smith had his fingerprints all over the 13-1 Hopewell-Loudon victory at Old Fort Monday as he tallied three hits at the plate and he also was the winning pitcher.Smith doubled and drove in three runs at the plate, while pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts for the Chieftains (10-4, 5-1 SBC River)Jack Colatruglio added two singles, Braylon Ramirez and Jacoby Ellis both doubled, singled and drove in a run, Asher Smith and Collin Smith both singled and drove in a run and Brody Brickman ended with an RBI.Landon Tyson and Brad Kleinfleter both doubled for the Stockaders (1-11, 0-8).Andrew Tackett took the loss for Old Fort. Rams get back to .500BUCYRUS – Wyatt Taylor allowed some base runners Monday, but didn't allow any runs on the mound as he pitched a complete-game shutout for Upper Sandusky in a 3-0 win at Bucyrus.Taylor struck out nine and walked three.At the plate, the Rams (7-7, 5-3 N10) did enough as Sylar Jones, Kasen Gottfried, Toby Holman, Taylor and Jonathan Craig all singled and Josh Heilman drove in a pair of runs. Redmen notch 8th winCALEDONIA – Bellevue traveled all the way to River Valley Monday and walked away with a 4-2 win in a rain-shortened contest.Ben Chapin doubled and drove in a run for the Redmen (8-4), followed by Ike Brown with a triple.Brown, Chapin and Caden Lindsey all pitched as Lindsey picked up the win in his 2 1/3 innings of relief. Royals roll by BucksNEW WASHINGTON – Wynford jumped on Buckeye Central with a five-run second innings to pull out a 7-3 N10 win.Both teams collected six hits, but Wynford made the most of its baserunners.Out of BC's six hits were four doubles as Hunder Caudill, Owen Hatten, Lance Cole (3 RBI) and Jeremiah Fishpaw all doubled.Caydin Jarvis took the loss on the hill, allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits in four innings of work. He fanned five and walked four.
