Tiffin Fire-Rescue awarded grant anti-choking devices

TIFFIN — Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant from the Tiffin Community Foundation to purchase 30 LifeVac anti-choking devices. These devices will be strategically distributed throughout the community to enhance emergency response and improve public safety. Deputy Fire Chief Mike Hohman said they will be placed on all fire and EMS apparatus, in every cruiser operated by the Tiffin Police Department and at key locations within Tiffin parks. "This grant allows us to take another important step in protecting our residents," said Homan. "Having LifeVac devices available across multiple departments and public spaces significantly increases our ability to respond quickly and effectively in choking emergencies. We are extremely grateful to the Tiffin Community Foundation for their continued investment in the safety and well-being of our citizens." The Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the Tiffin Police Department and Tiffin Parks for their collaboration and commitment to implementing this initiative.
