TOLEDO – Amongst some big schools Friday night, Columbian held its own.With three Top 3 finishes and a win in the sprint medley relay, the Tornadoes finished sixth out of 15 schools with 65 points. Perrysburg won with 119.The victory in the SMR 800 relay came from the team of Josie Kancler, Abby Lewis, Ava Newman and Caroline Newlove as they finished in 1:55.38.Tara Duffy added a second in the shot put (32-10) and a fifth in the discus (110-1 ½), while Newlove was third in the 300 hurdles (48.68).TC's 4x4 (4:26.39) relay team of Newlove, Emma Musgrave, Sophia Miller and Kennedy Wilhelm placed fifth, while the 4x8 (10:33.56) squad of Musgrave, Leah Weingart, Genna Cleveland and Lily Allen were also fifth. Rams take Royer Invite crownNORTH ROBINSON – Upper Sandusky's Arielle O'Flaherty and Jocelyn Leightey both won two individual events and were a part of a winning relay Friday as the Rams won the Bob Royer Invite at Colonel Crawford with 142.5 points. Mohawk was eighth with 25.O'Flaherty won the 200 (26.82) and the 400 (1:01.27), while Leightey claimed the 800 (2:27.04) and the 1,600 (5:37.52). Big Red top BuckettesNEW WASHINGTON – Buckeye Central fell into a 12-0 hole after 2 ½ innings Friday before making a furious comeback, but couldn't get all the way back in a 15-11 loss to Plymouth.BC (2-14) had plenty of offense Friday with 13 hits as AJ Jury was 3 for 4 with a triple and an RBI, while Leah Fields singled three times and drove in a pair of runs, Savannah Pace singled twice and drove in a run, Olivia Bishop and Phoebe Rafferty both singled and drove in two runs, Megan Siefert singled and drove in a run and Maya Metzger doubled and drove in a run.Metzger suffered the loss after one inning in the circle. Plymouth pulls awayNEW WASHINGTON – Plymouth scored 15 of its 20 runs in just two innings as the Big Red handled Buckeye Central 20-11 Friday.BC (4-13) had nine hits as Caydin Jarvis had three of them. It also got two doubles and two RBIs from Hayden Hafner, a triple and four RBIs by Jeremiah Fishpaw, a single and an RBI apiece from Hunter Caudill and Jeremiah Roberson and an RBU from Dylan Heydinger.Hafner took the loss.
