Wyant's walk-off 1B lifts Lakota

Fliers soar by Tornadoes CLYDE – Columbian started strong with two runs in the top of the first, but that lead quickly dissipated. Warriors complete sweep of BuckettesNEW WASHINGTON – In a two-game sweep of Buckeye Central, Mohawk outscored the Buckettes 58-1 and out-hit them 48-2.Wednesday, Mohawk jumped out to a26-1 lead after three innings en route to a 30-1 N10 win.Mallory Brickner led the onslaught with four hits, including a triple and a double with a pair of RBIs, while Emily Brickner (3B, RBI), Katie Woodland (HR, 2B, 3B, 4 RBI), Aubrey Gottfried (2 RBI) and Blake Miller 3B, 3 RBI) all produced three hits, Mara Haynes (2-2B, 3 RBI), Elyn Hetzel (2B, 3 RBI) and Kaci Steyer (2 RBI) all had two hits and Lilly Parsell ended with a single and an RBI.Sophie West singled and drove in a run for the Buckettes (2-16, 0-11 N10). Rams inch closer to N10 titleUPPER SANDUSKY – Upper Sandusky certainly wasn't looking ahead to a huge matchup with Mohawk Friday. That was evident after it scored 13 runs in the opening inning Wednesday against Seneca East in a 16-4 N10 win.The Rams improved to 18-3 overall and 11-0 in the N10 with three league games to go – two with Mohawk coming up.Madison Hart blasted two home runs and drove in five runs for the Rams, while Ava Saull singled three times and drove in a run and Ella Frombaugh singled three times and drove in three. Redskins edge FliersPORT CLINTON – With how tight the second doubles match was Wednesday, the Port Clinton vs. Clyde tennis match could have gone either way. Unfortunately for the Fliers, the Redskins edged the Fliers in the end, 3-2.At second doubles, the PC pair of Alex DeFreitas and Aero Wymer outlasted Cole Sengstock and Trenton Brown 5-7, 7-6(2), 17-15.The other doubles match went to Clyde as No. 1 Chase Castle and Oscar Webb took down Zach Speer and Evan Lovitt 6-4, 6-0.Clyde only grabbed one singles match as No. 1 Aric Kauble upended Kai Weit 6-1, 6-3.PC's No. 2 Charley Kruse topped Connor Eastby 6-0, 6-1 and No. 3 Payton Wadsworth beat Alex Barrett by the same score.Clyde dropped to 16-2.
