VARSITY SOFTBALL: Clyde beat Perkins 9-3 Friday. Ariah Farrar belted a homer and three singles to pace the Fliers. Mya Stiefel added three singles, Ember Andres homered, and Amber Dillingham, Jayleigh Flynn and winning pitcher Madison Myers all singled. GIRLS TRACK: Jocelyn Leightey won two races and ran on two runner-up relays Friday to fuel Upper Sandusky's championship at the Elmwood John Ramsey Invitational. The Rams beat Wauseon 126-101 for the title. Old Fort took sixth (56), Seneca East came in seventh (35) and New Riegel wound up 11th (19). Leightey claimed the 800 (2:31.18) and 1,600 (5:33.34). She ran with Arielle O'Flaherty, Adriane Yeater and Kimberly Thomas to take second in the 4x400 (4:21.6), and joined Bailey Hinesman, Madison Miles and Abigail Ault on the runner-up 4x800 squad (10:35.04). Shiloh Shasteen added a victory in the pole vault (9-6). Upper Sandusky's Ava Walton, Kiarie Williams, Jacob Nieset and Colton Penwell also captured the unscored mixed 4x100 (53.71). Jillian Stansbery ran second in the 100 (13.2) and joined Jayden Richards, Lindsey Ayala and Shasteen to end second in the 4x100 (53.2). Old Fort's Emma Pump won the 400 (1:00.66). Adelyn Dick added a second in the 100 hurdles (17.13) for the Stockaders. Seneca East received runner-up efforts from Avery Schwab in the 800 (2:31.9) and Aubrey Ritzler in the 3,200 (11:50.96). Alexandra Osborne of New Riegel claimed the 100 hurdles (16.57). BOYS TRACK: Levi Dawson won a sprint, took second in another and led off a runner-up relay while Brett Martin claimed a throwing event and finished second in another Friday, guiding Seneca East to second at the Elmwood John Ramsey Invitational. Wauseon downed the Tigers 151-105 for the championship. Old Fort took third (86), Upper Sandusky came in fifth (66) and New Riegel ended eighth (23). Dawson won the 100 (11.35), ended second in the 200 (23.23) and ran with Ethan Shultz, Keegan Boes and Colten Young on the runner-up 4x100 (45.33). Martin captured and discus (141-0) and took second in the shot (45-9 1/2). Ethan Shultz added a second in the 100 (11.35) and Jaron Depinet ended second in the high jump (6-0). Henry Beisner keyed Old Fort by claiming the 300 hurdles (41.61) and high jump (6-2) and taking second in the 110 hurdles (15.96). Aidan Chapman added a victory in the 400 (53.24), anchored the winning 4x100 (1:32.95) and anchored the runner-up 4x400 (3:33.41). Brayden Davis, Isaac Gallagher and Aiden Dick joined him on both relay. Upper Sandusky's Franklin Arnold won the 800 (2:03.23) and ran with Andrew Leightey, Henry Minehart and Christian Miller to take the 4x800 (8:34.14). Pole vaulter Ashton Clark added a victory (13-0) for the Rams. Upper Sandusky's Ava Walton, Kiarie Williams, Jacob Nieset and Colton Penwell also captured the unscored mixed 4x100 (53.71). Cameron Hohman of New Riegel crossed the line first in the 1,600 (4:38.16) and 3,200 (9:48.26).
