Carey's Hall and Bame earn top All-District 9 awards

It's been a special season up to this point for Carey baseball, winning its first N10 title since 2018 and first one won outright. Now, the Blue Devils have their sights set on a deep tournament run in Division VI. Before then, the Blue Devils were well represented on the All-District 9 teams in D-VI when they were released Wednesday. The top awards went to Garrett Hall as player of the year and Trey Bame was tabbed as coach of the year.Joining Hall on the first team was teammate David Hall, Hopewell-Loudon's Kellen Frankart and Austin Smith, Seneca East's Braydon Robinson and Colton Ehresman and Lakota's Hunter Sweeney.The second team included Carey's Dash Puckett and Landon Tarris, H-L's Jack Colatruglio and SE's Branson Robinson and Nicholas Parks. Lakota's Jacob Hines and Grant Scherger, H-L's Brody Brickman and Jacoby Ellis, Carey's Bostyn Ritter and Louis Watkins and SE's Brady Bloom and Gunner Polachek were all honorable mention.In Division VII, No. 1 Calvert dotted eight players on the All-District 9 teams, including Player of the Year Logan Ritzler. Teammates Charlie Palm and AJ Shoemaker were both first team. Calvert's Vincenzo Lyons, Connor Moyer and Tucker Coleman, along with Mohawk's Levi Tiell were second-team picks, and honorable mentions included Buckeye Central's Jeremiah Fishpaw and Lance Cole, New Riegel's Alec Hohman and Gabe Pugh, Mohawk's Owen Patrizi and Andon Clouse and Calvert's Cameron Moyer and Branyan Coleman.In D-IV, Bellevue's Ike Brown and Upper Sandusky's Josh Heilman were first-team selections, while Clyde's Drake Yohe and Bellevue's Blake Sutherland were second team and Bellevue's Caden Lindsey and Grant Musser, Clyde's Mason Flewelling and Jonathan Lantz and Upper Sandusky's Kasen Gottfried and Caine Rupe were all honorable mention.
