Dale E. 'Buck' Yoder

Dale E. "Buck" Yoder, 87, of Kansas, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. Buck was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Kansas, to Ovid and Helen (Hedden) Yoder. He married Barbara (Sherick) June 27, 1953, in Kansas, and she survives in Fremont. Survivors include his two sons, John Yoder and Mike (Lisa) Yoder, both of Tiffin; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Buck was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeff Yoder; a granddaughter, Stacy Lynn Yoder; a brother, Butch Yoder; and two sisters, Sam Drenning and Toots Feasel. Buck retired from Basic Refractories and was a member of Kansas United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Jackson-Liberty High School. Buck was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Buck enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports on TV. A funeral for Buck will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, 301 Union St., Bettsville with Pastor Abe Cramer officiating. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery with military honors being rendered by United Veterans Council. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
